This is because improved blood circulation is vital for recovery. The blood is the medium of circulating needed nutrients to parts of the body undergoing trauma. Having a fit cardiovascular system would help hasten the recovery process. However, it should be noted that not all types of exercises must be done. There is a need to consult a physical therapist so that exercises could be modified according to the condition of the patient.

To have smooth recovery process, one would have to be prepared of the things that may be needed right after the surgery. This would include special equipments. For those undergoing procedures that would affect ambulation, crutches, walkers, and wheelchairs may be needed.

On the day of the procedure, take the time to arrive early. This gets you accustomed to the environment to help you with your recovery. Also, there might be things such as paperwork that may need to be done. Stress and anxiety right before surgery is highly discouraged as this may slow down recuperation. This can be prevented by arriving early.
